Aloha Daily Good Greens Smoothie and Bikram Yoga just go hand-in-hand… a healthy workout with a healthy way to recover afterwards!

I love them both.

I gotta admit, I was scared to death to the first time I went to Bikram Yoga!  I’ve loved yoga for many years but adding in the heat made me a nervous nelly.  BUT, oh man.  I was so totally and completely hooked after my first class.  The collage below is of my BFF, Carol and I all sweaty and smiling after our first Bikram Yoga class last November.

You’ll sweat like you’ve never sweat before but it’s such an awesome experience; it’s relaxing and meditating and rejuvinating all at the same time!  You gotta try it.  For Reals 🙂

The photo above is of my cute friend Jen from Tatortots and Jello and I at yoga last Saturday!  We’ve all got pretty hectic schedules but Carol, Jen, and I try to hit a class together at least once a week; practicing Bikram Yoga has become our favorite ways to stay in touch.

AND I’ve loved drinking one of my Aloha Blend Box of Daily Good Greens during Yoga!  Plenty of icy-cold water is a must but it’s even better if it’s packed with good for you ingredients like in the Blend Box, I also think the handy on-the-go pack is fabulous.

It makes me so happy knowing that I’m getting all the health benefits of Bikram Yoga and if I don’t drink an Aloha Blend Box of Daily Good Greens in class then when I get home, I blend up a nutricious Aloha Banana-Chocolate Protein Smoothie to help me refuel.   My recipe is pretty darn tasty too- if you ask me 🙂

Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes


  • 1 C cold water
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 packette Aloha Daily Greens, chocolate flavor
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder, approx 1/4C
  • 1-2 C ice cubes depending on desired thickness


  1. Combine all ingredients in blender, blend until smooth.
  2. Enjoy!

Here are few things to keep in mind for your first Bikram Yoga Class… BIKRAM YOGA TIPS:

Bring to class: a water bottle, Aloha Blend Box of Daily Good Greens, a beach-size towel, and your yoga mat. 

Wear lightweight, form-fitting clothes. Women typically wear shorts, a sports bra, and a tank top and men usually wear shorts and a tank top or go shirtless.

No personal belongings are allowed in the studio. Please leave car keys, cell phones, etc., in the secured lockers in the changing room.

Drink plenty of water, including an extra liter on the day of class.

Avoid eating heavy foods in the two hours prior to your class. It is best to come on an empty stomach.

Class begins promptly on the hour; in order to respect the meditation of the other students, no late arrivals will be admitted.

Be prepared to sweat a lot and have LOTS OF FUN!

At the end of every class the instructor ends with Namaste and all the yogi’s practicing repeat it back together.  It’s pretty touching and I love the definition:
