Ingredients in Big Green Egg Salmon Recipe

  • brown sugar
  • honey
  • sesame oil or butter
  • Dijon mustard
  • soy sauce
  • olive oil
  • finely grated ginger or 1 teaspoon powdered
  • minced fresh basil
  • Olive Oil cooking spray
  • Salt and Pepper
  • salmon fillets

How to make Big Green Egg Salmon Recipe

  1. On a side burner or stove melt the brown sugar, honey, butter, and sesame oil in a small sauce pan over medium high heat.
  2. Remove from the heat and whisk in the mustard, soy sauce, olive oil and ginger.
  3. Let Cool.
  4. Preheat grill to medium heat.
  5. Spray Salmon with Olive oil cooking spray, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Place Salmon with skin side down on grill.
  7. Coat the flesh of salmon with the brown sugar mixture, sprinkle basil on top.
  8. Grill for 6-8 minutes until flakes in the middle (approx 6-8 minutes) turning once at 6 minutes.
  9. For BGE: We used 1 cup soaked hickory smoke chips but apple would work great too. The salmon absorbs the smoked flavor very well so don’t over do it. Follow directions above.
