There’s nothing worse than a flimsy grater or zester/microblade– I can’t even name how many of knuckles I have hurt because of flimsy ones. Ugh. Trust us… you want the best when it comes to this stuff and to add these to your kitchen stat!

#10. Mercer Culinary Offset Spatula, 6 Inch and Mercer Culinary Offset Spatula, 4.25 Inch— Off set spatulas… what’s all the fuss? Believe me, you’ll never frost a sheet cake or brownies again without them! They also work like a charm when you are spreading batter into the edges of a sheet cake pan. If your in a pinch, off set spatulas can even work like a knife.. sort of! These are one of my favorite tools from Culinary School and I highly recommend them for every kitchen!

#11. Le Creuset Signature Enameled Cast-Iron Dutch Oven is just plain heaven for everything from the stove top to the oven! We love ours so much we use it for so many different recipes like soups, artisan bread, and roasts.
#12. Mercer Culinary Forged Knife Block Set are a moderately priced set of knives (they are ones I got in Culinary School) and I love them. They sharpen up perfectly again and again. They’ll make all the difference in your cooking prep work. Did you know that dull knives are the number one cause of injury in the kitchen? Keep your knives in good shape between sharpenings, by honing them when you use them. Love your knives and they’ll last you for years and years!
