Ingredients in Sweet and Salty Cashews Recipe
- Cashews- are nutrient-dense, offering heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, protein, fiber, and essential minerals like magnesium, copper, and zinc. Regular consumption may lower “bad” LDL cholesterol, support weight management by promoting satiety, improve blood sugar control, and boost immune function. They are also high in antioxidants that support eye health and reduce inflammation.
- Butter- Butter is rich in nutrients and beneficial compounds like butyrate and conjugated linoleic acid. High-fat dairy products like butter have been linked to a reduced risk of obesity, diabetes, and heart problems. Still, butter is high in calories and saturated fat and should be enjoyed in moderation.
- Brown sugar- Brown sugars are white granulated sugar that has had cane molasses added to it and it adds moisture so makes it chewier than white sugar. The two types of brown sugar, light and dark, refer to the amount of molasses that is present. Light brown sugar is used more often in baking, while dark brown sugar, with a bolder molasses flavor, is delicious used as a rub for steaks.
- Bacardi rum- like all alcoholic beverages, is primarily a social and recreational treat rather than a health tonic. While it lacks significant nutritional content and contains “empty calories,” it can fit into a balanced lifestyle if enjoyed responsibly.
- Sea Salt- is mostly composed of sodium chloride, a compound that helps regulate fluid balance and blood pressure in the body. Since it’s minimally processed, it contains some minerals, including potassium, iron, and calcium.
