The Fastest, Eastiest Krispie Treats in West!

My best friend Carol’s son, Jaxon, was over the other night, he wanted to make sure I blogged my Rice Krispie Treat recipe.  It’s super easy and so much faster than the way my mom used to make them when I was a kid.  She had to double boil the marshmallows for what seemed like forever!  This recipe is microwave- friendly and so much faster, which means you can eat them in just matter of minutes!!
Jake made this batch…lickin’ the spoon!

Ruthies Krispie Treats

Combine:
1 Tbls butter
1 16oz package of mini marshmellows
Add:
4 C Rice Krispies
4 C Fruity Pebbles

Spray a glass casserole dish with cooking spray and set aside

In a microwave safe bowl add the first two ingredients, microwave 1 minute, stir, microwave 1 more minute, stir.
Stir in 4 C Rice Krispies and then the 4 C Fruity Pebbles.  Pour mixture into prepared pan.  Wet one hand with water, scrape the rest of the bowl with fingers, wet hand, press the mixture into the pan.  Allow to cool for 20 minutes before cutting. (if you can wait that long!)  Cover with saran to store.

* I also make these with Rice Krispies only and I suppose if you love Coco Pebbles, they would work too!

Pour marshmallows in a microwaveable bowl
Microwave 1 minute, stir, then 1 minute more
Mix in 4 cups of Rice Krispies
Then 4 cups of Fruity Pebbles
Wet hand, pat the krispies into the pan
Let cool 20 minutes!

My 12 year old son, Jake, made this batch…. it’s easy enough for kids to manage!
