Chat with Ruthie… the FuD feud is a little culinary contest at Orson Gygi’s in Salt Lake City that I went to last Saturday! I thought it’d be fun to tell you all about it as we chat this week!
The judges were from a variety of backgrounds… some were chefs at area restaurants and one was an author.
It was a lot of fun and I met a ton of really nice people! Orson Gygi’s has several beautiful display kitchens that we invaded 😉
The FuD feud competition consisted of several different categories to enter in like: appetizer, main, side dish, and dessert. Of course, Dessert had the most entries… I took my husbands favorite “Carrot Cake with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting”.
There were samples of everything available to taste and it was open to the public too. I didn’t win in my category BUT I was given the biggest compliment from someone there, “Your cake tastes better than ‘Nothing Bunt Cakes’ Carrot Cake!” Which is like the mecca of cake lovers CAKE!!
SO, I got tonz of compliments and lotsa of people came back for seconds! I had a great day meeting and greeting AND I thought it’d be fun to share this little snippet 🙂

Apparently all these delicious recipes with a picture will be made available in a book at some point! I’m excited to check it out 🙂
