Madi & Spencer’s Wedding and Italian Buffet are highlights from their recent wedding and the collection of recipes that I made for the celebration.
I’m so excited to finally be sharing this beautiful day with all of you. Madi and Spencer had lots of family and friends gather around them to celebrate this special day. We were lucky enough to get a sunny day followed by a lovely warm spring evening for their outdoor wedding reception.
So, lets start out with some photo’s of Madi and Spencer…
Megan of Meg Bed Photo was our photographer and our wedding planner was Michelle of Michelle Corinne. We can’t thank these two ladies enough for all they did to make this day amazing! We highly recommend them if you’re headed into wedding preparations… contact them 🙂
Madi’s day was made even more beautiful by wearing her grandmothers wedding dress. It was originally worn by Grandma Linda in 1958, so we just had a few minor repairs/adjustments to do for Madi to be able to wear it too. It was in beautiful condition and so touching to see Madi honor her grandma in this way.
Jake and Madi… we missed Kate so much but she is serving an LDS Mission in Washington State so she couldn’t be with us 🙁
AND just to put all your minds to rest… my dress was actually yellow and cream but you can’t tell in these pictures 🙂
My good friend Jacquie and Greg were kind enough to let us take over their gorgeous backyard for the event. A million thank you’s to them and their family for all their kindness. xoxoxo
Daddy/Daughter Dance
Our beautiful little flower girls Tessa, Ashtynn, and Lexi almost stole the show!
Now, lets get to the food part… or is that the BEST part?!? Just kidding. I do love food and I loved making the food for Madi & Spencer’s wedding and reception. We had quite a spread~ an Italian Buffet spread to be exact. I’ve already posted the recipes for each dish, so underneath the photo is a link to click to get them.
I wish I was eating all of these recipes, again, right now 🙂 Enjoy…
Meatball Rigatoni with Red Sauce
(the red sauce is a spin off the sauce in this recipe minus the cream)
Browned Butter Chicken Alfredo with Pasta
(this is the recipe for the alfredo sauce over bow tie pasta with chicken)
Browned Butter, Garlic, and Almond Green Beans
Laughing Cow Creamy Asiago Cheese
Sliced Baguette’s from Harmons
Madi’s favorite food is olives so naturally and bowl full of them had to be part of their Wedding Italian Buffet!
Creamy Asiago spread on Baguette… mmmmm. Heaven!
Strawberry Basil Balsamic Sauce with Cheesecake
Italian Soda Bar with Amoretti
Their beautiful cake was made by cute friend Mandy Madsen
We loved having an assortment of beautiful decor from My Mind’s Eye including the banner for the car!
Madi & Spencer’s Wedding and Italian Buffet was a wonderful day, it turned out beautifully and they had an amazing day!
Plus, a really huge thank you to everyone who helped out with the wedding~ from the big to the small we appreciated it all 🙂
Happy Wednesday!
Much Love and Peace~

She looked absolutely beautiful and I just love that gown. I wish we could go back to the day when brides dressed without everything hanging out and having to constantly stop and pull up their gown. What a nice way to honor her grandmother.
Hi Patty… thank you! It was a busy but wonderful day for them. Her dress was tasteful and lovely- it was so touching! I hope you have a wonderful day. xoxo~ Ruthie
Thank you Ruthie – Happy Fourth!
