I am always ready for apple pie. I can eat desserts with apples every day.
Amen to that!! Baked apples are always a favorite 🙂 I hope love this recipe… have a wonderful day! xoxo~ Ruthie
I made these last night for a party and they were a huge hit! Thanks for posting the recipe. I made a couple of modifications, but they were strictly personal preference. I like my apples softer rather than on the firmer side so I steamed the cut up pieces in the microwave first before I added them to the pastry. Also, the apples I used were on the bigger side so I had to cut the slices in half to get them to tuck in the pastry like the picture shows. And lastly, my puff pastries really puffed! A lot of them opened up even though I pinched then closed. So the ones that opened, I just pushed closed after they came out of the oven and then I started putting the seam on the bottom before I baked them. But overall, I followed the recipe to a tee and they really turned out well. Sorry Ruthie, I’m sure you weren’t wanting a whole review..lol, but I thought I’d add what worked for me and what didn’t. They truly were fantastic!
That’s so awesome!! I’m so glad they were a success. . . they are perfect for fall 🙂 I loved all your tips and it’s so great to hear your experience, thank you for sharing! Happy Autumn Baking. xoxo~ Ruthie

These look absolutely delicious. I like that the idea of making apple pie as individual bites – it would be perfect for a party. Much easier than guests having to deal with slicing a pie.
Do you think they would freeze well?
Hi Dianna.. you’ll be so happy with these little bites! I think they’d freeze okay- I would probably defrost them on the counter and then bake them off a little more to re-crisp them. (approx 2-3 minutes) I haven’t tried it but that seems like it would work… let me know if you give it a try 🙂 Thanks for the comment and have a great day xoxo~ Ruthie
