- eggs
- heavy whipping cream
- salt
- mustard
- cayenne pepper
- tabasco
- black pepper
- minced parsley
- crab meat
- flour
How to make Crab Cakes with Creole Sauce Recipe
- Line a large plate with paper towels; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl combine eggs, heavy cream, ground mustard, cayenne pepper, tabasco, black pepper, and parsley; mix well.
- Add crab meat and flour; mix until the mixture binds together.
- Using your hands form into 2 x ¼ inch round cakes and hold on a plate.
- In a large fry pan heat half of the oil on medium high heat.
- Once heated, place crab cakes in the oil, making sure they do not touch.
- Fry on each side 3-5 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from pan to paper towel lined plate; repeat with remaining cakes.
- Serve warm with creole sauce or tartar sauce.
