Velata! Fondue Fun… is just THAT, totally fun!
Velata is a product line that became available on May 1, 2012 by Scentsy (you know those wonderful aromatic warmers that are just amazing!) I met 3 adorable Scentsy/Velata ladies at Snap! blogging conference! I was even lucky enough to be some of the first to try Velata… Chocolate Fondue was served to us one evening as our dessert at the convention!! Velata is a deliciously easy AND fun way to do fondue!
The Velata warmers are just so cute, 3 different varieties to choose from with so many colors that it was hard to pick!! There are 14 different options and the best part is they keep the chocolate at the perfect temperature! Velata has a special silicone dish that prevents heat from escaping and it’s warmed by a light bulb so no open flame plus it has 3 heat settings too! I think the typical fondue pot has trouble keeping a constant and low enough temperature for chocolate (it scalds) or it’s a lot of trouble to clean (like a fountain) BUT, Velata’s… can go from the fridge to the microwave and right into the dishwasher! Sweet!! The Velata warmer kept our chocolate at the perfect dipping temperature all night!
I was so excited that the UPS man brought my Velata Fondue Warmer and Chocolate in time for our monthly Bunco Ladies Night… I was the hostess this month SO, we fondue-d for dessert!
I just have to say the Velata Belgium Chocolate is divine… AND so easy to prepare with just a minute of cook time in the microwave PLUS it’s super easy to pour with the handy pour spout!! Velata has 4 types of Belgium Chocolate… Dark Chocolate, Classic Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate, and Caramel Milk Chocolate!! So YUM 🙂
I was able to try all the different types of chocolate at Snap! and I can tell you I LOVED them all! Just make sure to get enough bags of chocolate for your party to enjoy… each bag is 6 oz and it probably serves 4-6 people.
We had quite an assortment of yummy fondue dipping treats! Pretzels, Cinnamon Bears, swirly little marshmallows, Gummy Bears, Mini Vanilla Wafers, Candied Orange Slices, AND of course Strawberries! We also had two different toppings to dip our fondued treats into… Oreo Cookie Crumbs and Graham Cracker Crumbs!! (I just pulsed the cookies into crumbs in my blender) The favorite combination of the Bunco Ladies was Strawberries dipped in Velata White Chocolate and then into the Graham Cracker Crumbs 🙂
The BEST thing about Velata Fondue Warmer is… it’s a fun way to bring your family or friends together to enjoy an evening of fabulous fondue! As the hostess of Bunco, Velata was a really fun and unique way to serve dessert! (Not to mention easy and delicious too!) Everyone raved about it and I received so many thank you’s! AND a big thanks to my Bunco Ladies for letting me snap photo’s and post our “Velata at Bunco” night on my blog!!
PS. I must mention that I was given the Velata warmer and chocolate by Scentsy but the review is my own and my opinions are genuine 🙂
