Teriyaki Chicken Recipe is perfect for the busy holiday season!
How are we already through half the month of September? Holy cow, the months are flying by. Before you know it, it will be Christmas. Did I just say the “C” word? I know. I know. It’s not nice to even mention that we’re only about 15 weeks away from the word that must not be named. If that doesn’t give you a myocardial infarction, I don’t know what will!

I made this for dinner the other night and my daughter could not get enough of it. She ate the leftovers and requested that I make it again tonight. Best teriyaki sauce I have made even though I changed it just a little. I used fresh grated ginger and garlic, a good pinch of red pepper flakes and two sliced scallions in the sauce. Instead of using the sesame oil during the browning of the chicken, I used half a tsp or so of the oil right into the sauce. I also used chicken pieces, legs and thighs. I browned them covered them with the sauce and baked at 325 till they were cooked though. Absolutely loved. thanks for sharing.
Awesome! Sounds like it was a hit and thanks for sharing your tips… we love to hear back from our readers! Have a fabulous day!!
Sauce did not thicken at all. What could I have done wrong? Followed recipe exactly.
It seems like the recipe ought to have worked- maybe it is altitude or simmering time. Sometimes all that’s needed is a minute or two longer to cook once to corn starch slurry is added to thicken. I hope that helps! 🙂 xoxo~ Ruthie
