4 weeks ago tomorrow~
I had an experience that has forever changed my life…
Driving in the morning commute at 68 mph, my car hit ice which launched me into an uncontrollable spin. Then in a split second I was hurling straight for the bed of a semi truck and it dawned on me that I was probably going die.
At that moment, with my hands on my cheeks and giving it all over to God- I hit the semi, twice, and was then carried to safety ending in the emergency lane on the opposite side of the freeway.
I was granted a miracle.
As I slowly opened the door to my smashed up little Toyota, there she was…
A dark haired woman with kind eyes who said to me, “You’re safe- just sit there and breathe, are you hurt?, what’s your name?, what day is it?”
She took care of me in my hour of need~
(you can’t tell in this photo but the engine to my car was laying in the road)
This wonderful Angel of mine walked me to her car so I could stay warm, she helped me gather all the belongings from my car, waited with me through to the end, and then gave me a ride home.
She was truly an Angel by My Side that day.
I can never thank her enough for all the kindness she showed me; a total stranger.
I also want to thank God and the Divine Angels that carried me to safety and allowed me to walk away without a bruise from this near fatal accident.
“There are angels all around us. People who are there for us when we are struggling. We are called to be angels, too. Everyone needs comfort and consolation at some time or other. This song is simply about being there for others, even if it’s something as effortless as simply listening. We don’t have to fix their problems, we just have to show compassion and love, and do it sincerely. Most importantly we are there to give the struggling person hope.”
The song was written by Francesca Battistelli and Jason Walker. From her album “Hundred More Years”.
This is my Rachell~ Angel…
(and that’s exactly how her name is in my phone)
Rachell and I had lunch a couple of days ago and it was a beautiful reunion between new dear friends.
We all need Angel’s.
Reach out to those around you, look for ways to do good, to serve your fellow men, and be someones Angel.
May God bless you and all the good you do; together we can make our world a little more like heaven on earth.
So much Love and Peace~
Ruthie
