I am 61 years old and have never bought a fresh pineapple. I have no idea how to pick one out. But at least after watching this video…I know how to cut one.
Thanks for all of your tips. They’re great!!!

I’m 58 and it took me until I was in my forties to try a fresh one. Please believe me there is no comparison to canned or frozen, you’ve got to try fresh. Ask for the manager or the person in charge of the vegetable/fruit dept. they’ll be glad to help.. it means money for them after all

Thank you for your sweet comment… I’m so glad you’ve found the video tips helpful 🙂 When picking a pineapple I pull a center leaf of the pineapple top and if it pulls out easily then it’s ripe. I also like them to have a strong pineapple-sweetness smell and give a little bit when pressure is applied to fruit. I’m sure there a few more tricks to picking a good pineapple but that’s what I look for… Happy Sunday! xoxo~ Ruthie
