Ikea Dessert Stand

A couple of weeks ago I attended the Ikea Blogger Event which is held each year when the new Ikea catalog is released!

It was so fun!  We enjoyed a delicious breakfast AND can I just say that I love their Crepes with Lingonberry Jam- YUM 🙂

Ikea Breakfast (or what was left of it!)

Then the fun began- we were each given a gift card to spend on creating a project for our Ikea post-  I could seriously spend hours and hours exploring and being inspired at every turn!

At the end of the day, I came away with some awesome new dish ware pieces, linens, hand towels, a really great cutting board (pictured below), chocolate bars, and the makings for my project…

In order of collage left to right:

1- Supplies

2- Remove the felt covering off the bottom of the candlestick and run 3 lines of hot glue evenly spaced moving into the center of the base of the candlestick.

3- Quickly center base of candlestick on the underside of the small plate, press and hold for 30 seconds.

4- Run 2 lines of hot glue on the top side of the candlestick.

5- Flip upside down and quickly center on the top side of the large plate, press, and hold for 30 seconds.

And that’s it!  Isn’t this Ikea Dessert Stand SO darn cute… it’s just perfect for serving dessert bars or cupcakes at any gathering!
