About Madeliene Louise

Hi there. It’s me.. Madeliene Louise! I’m thrilled to officially be apart of the Cooking with Ruthie team! This really is a dream come true of mine.

When I was in Junior High, I discovered a passion of mine– writing. I loved to write and still do! I used writing as a release and as a form of therapy for myself while amidst trials. I would fill journals and notebooks and get relief from getting my thoughts and feelings out of my body and onto paper. In High School, I decided to make a small blog and keep some of my thoughts there. I wanted to be vulnerable and honest with the world, as I felt like everyones lives on social media looked “perfect”. (More thoughts/details to come on this in a future post).

My point is, it feels wonderful to start putting a check mark next to inspirational blogger on my list of lifetime goals/dreams. I always wanted it to happen, but never quite knew how it would. I always had a feeling that it would just come to be and not to worry about it. When my mom approached me saying that she’d like me to come on board to co-blog with her… I was so excited! My mind started spinning with thoughts of past ideas and new ideas and my “to blog” list began. I can not wait to share them with you all! I was ecstatic when my mom said yes to my idea of incorporating my love for psychology and writing, along with the love I also have for cooking and creating, into this marvelous blog she has already created.

So now.. let me just share a little bit about me! I am a wife to my wonderful husband, Spencer. I am a new mom to my sweet sweet baby boy, Carter. (You all have seen lots of him on the Cooking with Ruthie instagram. Gigi is just a little obsessed.) 😉 I’m a psychology major and a clinical coordinator at a residential treatment center, Discovery Ranch for Girls. I aspire to be a child and adolescent clinician and although it may take me 10-15 years to get there, I will get there one day! 🙂 I love to dance, as I danced for 17 years. I love to be outdoors– hiking, canyoneering, boating, swimming, any outdoor activity.. you name it! I also LOVE to travel!! Family and friends are everything to me and time with them is priceless.

Happy Wednesday!

Love–

Madeliene Louise
