I love to entertain and host dinner parties for family and friends, whether it’s a casual backyard BBQ or formal sit down dinner. Sharing a meal together is the highlight of the gathering–it gives an opportunity to reconnect, laugh, and even sometimes cry with those who we love!

What is an Intermezzo Course?

What exactly is an “Intermezzo Course” well–you maybe wonder what that is, exactly?!  It’s a popular course in European Dining which is usually small, light, and refreshing to help cleanse the palate between courses.

Whether you use this Strawberry Mint Sorbet for an Intermezzo or as a Dessert for your next dinner party~ all your friends and family will adore the light and refreshing flavor.

How to make Strawberry Mint Sorbet Recipe

  • Add strawberries, mint, water, half and half, coconut sugar; pulse until pureed.
  • Pour into 9×13 pan so liquid is approx 1/2 inch deep. (or whatever size works for your freezer)
  • Place in freezer.
  • Freeze for 2 hours, scraping with 2 forks every 30 minutes to break up ice.
  • When sorbet is frozen, rake until glittery.
  • Scoop into small serving dishes, garnish with mint leaf, and serve.
  • Enjoy your Strawberry Mint Sorbet Recipe!

I think this recipe is just wonderful because it doesn’t require churning during the freezing process, all you have to do is use a couple of forks to scrape and break it up about every 30 minutes until it’s completely frozen, and then cover it.

It can even be made a few days in advance so it’s right ready to go.

Fit Friday

It is the season for exploring, adventuring, and trying new things. My favorite season! In order to get out and explore to the fullest you need to engage your power house. “My what?” Your core!  All movement is based on your power house, your core!

I have had a few friends comment that I always do core when I lift. They are right, I do.  Core exercises train the muscles in your pelvis, lower back, hips and abdomen to work in harmony. This leads to better balance and stability, both when you are exercising or in daily activities. In fact, most sports and other physical activities depend on stable core muscles.

Working my core has nothing to do with my bikini at the gym and everything to do with the fact I know EVERYTHING will feel better if I have a strong core.

So, let’s do some core! This is a workout you can throw onto the end of a cardio session or right into the mix any weight session. This can also be a great warm up to make sure those muscles are awake and ready to go.
