Ingredients

  • 1 C sugar
  • 1/2 C butter, melted
  • 2 tsp pure almond extract
  • 1 tsp pure Lagrima Vanilla
  • 1 C toasted almonds, coarse chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 3/4 C flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 C white chocolate chips, melted
  • 1/2 C crushed mini candy canes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cream together sugar, butter, extracts in a large bowl.
  3. Mix in the almonds and eggs.
  4. Fold in flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Cover and chill 30 minutes.
  6. With hands moistened with water, divide dough into 2 loaves. (will be sticky)
  7. Place on parchment lined half sheet pan.
  8. Shape into 4 inches wide and 8 inches long loaves (approx).
  9. Bake 30 minutes, or until golden.
  10. Cool on wire rack 15 minutes.
  11. Cut into 3/4 inch slices.
  12. Place cut side down on baking sheet.
  13. Bake additional 20 minutes.
  14. Cool completely.
  15. Dip in melted white chocolate place on parchment paper, sprinkle with crushed candy canes.
  16. Cool until set and enjoy!
