Bring to boil over medium high heat, stirring constantly, boil 1 minute, pour over ingredients in large mixing bowl. Mix until incorporated.
Add:
1 1/2 C buttermilk
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp soda
dash of salt
Pour batter into cooking-spray coated sheet cake pan, Bake 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes until the center springs back with a light touch. Watch to make sure they aren't over cooked and dry out.
Icing:
1/2 C butter
3 Tbsp cocoa
3 Tbsp canned milk
3 C powdered sugar
In a saucepan over medium high heat until melted, whisk in powdered sugar 1 C at a time. Add additional canned milk if necessary so it reaches a medium consistency. Frosting will set up as it cools. Ice cake while it's warm and cover with toasted pecans or toasted coconut!
