Welcome to our Home!
We just moved and our current home has under gone a pretty impressive renovation! I’m excited to share our house with you~ complete with before and after photo’s so you can see all the changes. Plus, I’m sharing my favorite tips for making your next flooring update a breeze 🙂
Here are a couple of photo’s of the updated front living area…
We went with a neutral multi-flecked gray carpet for the front room and bedrooms. It goes well with most colors of furniture and it’s also an awesome color to hide most of the spills and dirt that kids and dogs/cats eventually get on carpet 🙂
Here’s the BEFORE photo of the front living area…
It had a drop floor and ceiling plus some shag carpet, funky wallpaper, and massive rocks for the entry! Pretty wild right!! Part of the renovations were to bring the floor and ceiling back to even level through the front rooms. It looks so much better now 🙂
The kitchen and dining areas are so much happier now too! We went with gray wood patterned laminate flooring in the high-traffic areas and then added rugs for a burst of color and an added comfy-feel.
I picked a turquoise rug for the dining table to coordinate with the turquoise on the seat cushions of the table. I went with a subtle yellow rug for the den, it feels nice and cozy for that space and with the fireplace we’ll have a comfortable place to warm up this winter.
If you already have a colors going in the room that you’re picking a rug for then pick the most prominent color or the one you want to bring out the most and get that color for your rug. It adds a fun touch of color and warmth to any room plus they’re super easy to swap out when you grow tired of it!
Here’s a couple BEFORE photo of the kitchen, dining, and den….
