Culinary Arts Graduation

A week ago today was a huge day for me… I graduated with a degree in the Culinary Arts, which was nothing short of a dream come true!

I’m so happy to be sharing this post with y’all today!  Seriously.  You’ve been there with me through all the practicals and finals and I’m so appreciative of all the beautiful words of support from you guys over the past couple of years.

I loved my Culinary School journey so much- it was super busy and very demanding.  I only wish I would have had more time to share more of what I learned with you.  I hope you enjoyed what I was able to share either through recipes on my blog or through my social media.   The whole journey was SO amazing!   It made my little “Foodie” heart sing.

The photo above is me with the Chef Hat on with my son and daughter… my oldest daughter is living in Mexico right now, so we let her out of having to show up for the big day 🙂

After all of my classmates and I received our diplomas, we were given an official “Chef Hat” to wear in the audience for the rest of the ceremony.  It may seem sorta silly but it’s actually really cool.  During Culinary School we had to wear these little, white, squish-your-head, and drive you crazy hats every day~ all day long!   The roomy chef hats are waaaayyyyy more comfy-cozy…. not to mention it means you’ve officially gained the title of Chef 🙂

I couldn’t have made it through the intensity of this program without the love and support of my kiddos.   I know it was a sacrifice for them, they helped me in so many ways and I am so grateful for them.

My sisters Camey and Louise came to town to be apart of the event and help me celebrate graduating.  It was wonderful to be able to spend time with both of them plus my nieces and nephews too!   Life has pulled us all of us sisters in different directions so it’s nice to when we can spend time together.

I couldn’t resist getting a photo with 3 of the Chefs from the program, super cool to be all decked out in my own chefs hat too!!  WOW.  It was awesome!!

Thanks for letting me share my Culinary Arts Graduation with you- I’m so glad to be moving onto the next piece of my Foodie career!

No worries- it includes continuing to share my love of cooking and recipes with all of you!  The rest is yet in the works but I will keep you posted as it unfolds.   I love you all so much and I’m so grateful that we get to share this space and the love of food, family, and life together.

Much Love and Peace~

Ruthie
