Ingredients in Holiday Potpourri Recipe

whole jamaican allspice

whole cloves

orange

bay leaves

cinnamon stick

How to make Holiday Potpourri Recipe

• Combine all ingredients in a stock pot with 2 quarts of water,

• Bring to boil and reduce to simmer. 

• Fills the whole house with the smell of Christmas. 

• Will last for several days!

Holiday Potpourri Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon whole jamaican allspice
  • 2 tablespoon whole cloves
  • 1 slice orange
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 1/2 inch cinnamon stick

Instructions

    Combine all ingredients in a stock pot with 2 quarts of water, bring to boil and reduce to simmer. 

    Fills the whole house with the smell of Christmas. 

    Will last for several days!

    How long could that orange be left in a Mason jar before it would go bad?? My church group would like to make several of these for volunteers but I don’t know the time frame of pre making them and then giving out as gifts.. I just don’t know how long that orange A’lice would stay fresh. Could you guide me on this please

      Hi Christine, I would leave the lid off the jars and allow the orange slices to dry out before putting the lids on them… then they’ll keep for a long time! You could also dry the orange slices in the oven on parchment paper to speed up the process if you wanted??? Hope that is helpful, it sounds like a wonderful project! xoxo~ Ruthie
